Boreham Village vs U14s – 26th Feb 2017

Boreham Village 1   Rayne Youth 4

Rayne made hard work of the first half up hill and against the wind with too many high balls and not enough confidence to get the ball on the floor, under control and play the football that they are capable of. A penalty from Josh Oben and a strike from Tony Wood who had an excellent game today saw Rayne two up at half time. With changes at half time Rayne stopped treating the ball like a hot potato and got the ball on the floor putting together some good interlinking play down the left and right hand sides. Harrison Lane and Marcus Abboud were involved linking up with the forward line. A headed goal from Sam Tappenden and another individual effort from Tony Wood sealed the points for Rayne. A goal for Boreham in the last minute of play was well deserved as they battled all game and never made it easy for Rayne.
